What is ‘curb appeal’? When it comes to your home, curb appeal is, by definition, what makes your home appealing when people pass by on the street. Whether this has to do with the outdoor décor, the landscaping, the paint, the roof, or some combination of all of the above. . . bottom line: your home looks better when you put a little effort in.

So, what are the ways you can make your property better? Here are a few simple updates:

Change Your Windows

One of the best things you can do to upgrade your curb appeal is to assess the situation with your windows. Choosing the right windows for your home can have a massive impact on not only helping your property stand out, but providing a quality views from the inside out and the outside in.

Our windows allow us to be connected with the outside world; they also help to bring light into our spaces. Having a window upgrade can elevate the “vibe” of your home and perhaps even make it look more sophisticated, inviting, or clean.

Revamp the Garden

Outdoor garden spaces are beautiful and can really help to provide a refined look to your outdoor space. Whether you grow flowers or harvest vegetables, have seedlings or full-blown plants, your garden creates a ‘homey’ feel that can upgrade the curb appeal (especially for those looking to purchase a long-term family home!).

Even if you’re not big into gardening, you can find simple ways to improve a garden space: planting flowers, creating a trough, or even purchasing a harvesting bin/area so that you can add a temporary space (without a forever commitment!). Once you start redesigning and making the garden look better, you’ll see how much it improves the overall feel of your home!

Invest In (Or Upgrade) Your AC

If you live in a warmer climate, air conditioning is one of the best additions to your home! However, you need to make sure you hire an AC contractor in your area to take charge of this process for you, and to be sure that you avoid making mistakes in the installation. Having air conditioning can not only make your home look and feel more approachable, but especially in hotter areas, (and especially for families with kids!), it’s a must-have!

Although you can’t necessarily ‘see’ AC from the curb, it’s a no-brainer addition to any home looking for an upgrade.
